14:45 03.02.2026

It is known that the delegation from Andijan Region led by its governor Shukhratbek Abdurakhmonov recently returned home after completing their visit to the Republic of Turkey. During this trip, a prestigious business forum was organized in Istanbul with participation of over 120 Turkish entrepreneurs and representatives of large companies. The discussions focused on expanding trade-economic and investment cooperation as well as implementing promising projects in industry, construction, healthcare, and services sectors, leading to several important agreements being reached.

In order to implement these agreements, today initial groups of Turkish entrepreneurs and company representatives were warmly welcomed at the international airport of Andijan. The main goal of this visit is attracting direct investments into Andijan region, introducing modern technologies, exchanging experience in production and service industries, establishing joint ventures, and producing competitive products.

On February 3rd of this year, members of the aforementioned delegation, including ladies Muge and Elif who are active in investing in architecture and medical institutions, visited Andijan State Medical Institute. They were greeted grandly by the institute’s rector Mr. M. Madazimov at the newly built 2000-seat modern educational building. Traditional music performances such as “Andijan Polka,” handcrafted items, and national traditions left a lasting impression on the guests.

During their visit, the delegates got acquainted closely with training sessions conducted at the Simulation and Training Center. It was particularly noted how theoretical knowledge acquired by students is reinforced through practical sessions and effective use of contemporary teaching technologies. Additionally, detailed information about the unique paramedicine program introduced for the first time in Uzbekistan and practical trainings related to emergency medical assistance were provided.

Following this, they also visited the clinic where construction works are currently underway. Here, they had a close look at the modern conditions created for doctors and patients, convenient infrastructure, and quality of medical care. Specialists praised the high standards maintained regarding furniture, laboratory equipment used in equipping health facilities, attention paid towards patient comfort and rest areas.

At the end of the visit, the delegation expressed their willingness to cooperate further by providing modern medical equipment, furniture, and laboratory supplies to equip the clinics of Andijan State Medical Institute. This visit is expected to strengthen mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, contribute significantly to developing the healthcare system, and establish modern medical services in the Andijan region.
