A meeting was held in Andijan State Medical Institute to discuss the provision of dormitories for students.
Participants included first vice-rector S. Salohiddinov, responsible for youth issues and spiritual-educational work, G. Kholmatova, advisor to the rector on Women’s Issues; staff from the Department coordinating student accommodation; chief auditor U. Oybekov; accountant Z. Yusupov and deputy deans of various faculties.
During the meeting, detailed information was provided regarding the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan’s resolution No. 32 “On approving the regulations for covering the living expenses of certain categories of students in state higher education institutions’ dormitories,” dated on January 28, 2026 as well as on the implementation of this resolution. Based on this, discussions were held about amendments to the order of the rector of Andijan State Medical Institute No. T-01/08/289, dated on February 6, 2026, specifically regarding changes to Appendix 1 of that order.
As a result, the composition of the working group responsible for providing students with accommodation was modified.
Furthermore, the conditions created for students, mechanisms for their social support and practical implementation issues were discussed within the framework of the resolution.
During the meeting, the work being carried out to fulfill the tasks outlined in the Cabinet of Ministers’ resolution No. 605 dated on September 24, 2021, “On the procedure for partially covering the monthly rent paid by students residing under renting rights in state higher education institutions from the state budget of Uzbekistan,” was also reviewed.
Special attention was paid to addressing issues identified in the process of providing dormitories for students as well as studying systematically the living conditions of students residing in dormitories and rented apartments.
