The head of the Department of Anatomy, Clinical Anatomy of Andijan State Medical Institute Z. A. Kaharov and assistant S. S. Abduvorisova were appointed in charge of the Online Olympiad.

71 students from 6 prestigious medical universities: International Medical School (Bishkek), Kyrgyz State Medical Academy, Osh State University, Asian Medical Institute, Kyrgyz-Russian-Slavic University and Andijan State Medical Institute have registered to participate in the Olympiad.  45% of them were students of the Foreign faculty.

Participants competed in 4 stages: presentation, surgical knot placement, suggestions for COVID-19 prevention at home, and coverage of the  pathological process in theatrical performance. Video clips were made for each stage.

45 participants were selected in stages 1 and 2 and then announced start for stages 3 and 4.

The online Olympics ended on May 25.  Taking into account the opinion of the participants, their active approach to the Olympiad, as well as for the spiritual motivation of students, 1st, 2nd and 3rd places were allocated for each university separately.  As an exception, taking into account the large number of students of the Kyrgyz Medical Academy and the participation of 2 faculties, special places were given to foreign and national faculties.

The online Olympiad helped students to spend their free time effectively during quarantine period, strengthen interethnic friendships and improve medical skills.  The Olympiad left a deep positive impression on the participants.

The organizers of the Olympiad continue to receive letters of thanks from the university administration and participants.

 S.S.Abduvorisova,
