HISTORY AND ACTIVITY OF THE DEPARTMENT

There was a considerable shortage of scientific and pedagogical personnel as the Institute was newly established in 1955-1960. In order to meet the needs of the institute young teachers and scientists from Tashkent and Samarkand medical institutes were sent to work at the institute with the referral of the Ministry of Health. Professors and associate professors K.A.Zufarov, N.P.Sokolov, E.Kolos, I.G.Marderstein, A.YA.Yasnogorodsky, I.K.Karaev, Y.K.Turakulov, N.K.Akhmedov, P.J.Tulyaganov, V.A.Babaeva, T.M.Koriev, G.F.Korotko, H.K.Salokhitdinov, B.N. Soybel, N.I. Pasternak and others worked selflessly during the full-fledged activity of the Institute. Under their leadership, many candidates of science and doctors of science were trained, scientific and pedagogical potential of the Institute gradually increased. The contributions of the scientists who served as vice-rectors of the institute for scientific affairs are also significant in achieving these results.

HEADS OF SCIENTIFIC DEPARTMENT WHO WORKED AT THE INSTITUTE

Scientific department was established at the institute in August 1, 1970 by order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Later this department began to be called the scientific-research, scientific-pedagogical staff training department. The following professors-teachers worked as heads of the scientific department at the Institute:

SH.A.Gulomov, associate professor (2010-2016)

From 2016 till nowadays G. N. Mamathujaeva, associate professor has been working as the head of the department of scientific research and training of scientific and pedagogical staff. In the last 5 years, 40 doctoral theses and 126 candidate’s theses were defended by professors and teachers of the institute. In addition, more than 2000 scientific articles, more than 5000 scientific theses were published. 21 patents, 271 DGU EHM patents were obtained, 530 rationalization proposals, 545 practical applications were prepared, more than 200 monographs were published. During this period 134 scientific and practical conferences were held.
