A month ago, news and photographs were circulated on social media with the caption: “An employee of Andijan State Medical Institute is forcing the girls to take off their headscarves.” Due to the fact that various comments were left in response, the press service of ASMI considered it necessary to respond to the situation.
Andijan State Medical Institute has a reputation not only in the country, but also among international medical universities. Educational processes and procedures are carried out in accordance with Order No. 34 of the Ministry of Health. The Institute has a Simulation Training Center, where students take practical classes. To enter the Simulation Center, students and teachers must wear medical caps, gauze headscarves, medical gowns and shoe covers. After classes, all students can wear their own clothes.
In addition, everyone entering the building of the institute is under the control of the duty officer. Students and staff of the institute enter the institute building in compliance with the quarantine rules. In the aforementioned case, the students were also supervised by the duty officer. One more comment: if we look at the photographs, we cannot see that the girls are forcibly removed from their headscarves. Just images of the duty officer control.
In general, the administration of the institute has never forbidden and will not forbid girls to wear headscarves. They are asked to comply with the quarantine rules and orders of the Ministry of Health. Our beautiful and clever girls are recommended to wrap up their headscarves as our grandmothers and mothers did.
