Today, on February 25th, a scientific council meeting of Andijan State Medical Institute was held for the month of February. The meeting was attended by the institute’s rector M. Madazimov, vice-rectors, and members of the council.
Firstly, the agenda of the meeting was announced. Following this, in accordance with tradition, holders of academic titles and degrees as well as winners of republican and international competitions were awarded.


The rector of the institute, M. Madazimov, was honored with the badge “Friendship of Turkic Peoples.” The award was presented by E. Kurbonov, deputy chairman of the regional branch of the World Association of Folk Art Creators in Andijan region. Additionally, professor and founder of the “Turon” fund, A. Sattarov, donated a collection of books to the institute.
On the same day, Prof. Dr. Oliver Hakenberg from the Department of Urology at Rostock University Medicine, Federal Republic of Germany, who teaches students at the institute, received the title of Honorary Professor of Andijan State Medical Institute.


Furthermore, Sh. Abdusamatova, Chairman of the Council of the Uzbekistan Youth Union in Andijan region, participated in the meeting. She particularly acknowledged the achievements of young activists within the initial organization of the institute and congratulated active youths on their accomplishments.


During the meeting, presentations were delivered by Vice-Rector for Research and Innovations K. Salohiddinov titled “Improvement of Monitoring System for Scientific Activities of Doctoral Students and Researchers,” Gender Advisor to the Rector G. Holmatova titled “Creating a Safe and Respectful Educational Environment for Female Students and Women in Educational Institutions,” Head of Quality Assurance Unit A. Pakridinov titled “Results of Internal Attestation of the Institute,” and Dean of Therapeutic Faculty D. Tulanov gave a “Report on Fall Semester of Academic Year 2025-2026 at Andijan State Medical Institute.”
