Under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sh.M. Mirziyoyev, a video selector meeting was held on June 10, 2022 “On measures for the widespread introduction of renewable energy sources in economic sectors, population and social sphere objects”. In order to ensure the execution of the tasks assigned in the relevant statement, large-scale works are being carried out at Andijan State Medical Institute.
In particular, planned works have been launched to meet the institute’s need for electricity with the help of solar panels and micro hydroelectric power station.
So far, 190 100 kW solar photoelectric panels have been installed on the roofs of the Institute’s Information Resource Center and educational laboratory buildings. 200,000 kWh of electricity will be produced in a year through these solar photoelectric panels and this will save 160.00 million soums per year.
Today, the institute consumes an average of 4,734 kW of electricity per day, of which 500 kW solar photovoltaic power station with a capacity of 197.25 kW per hour is required to be installed (in the area average solar radiation 500W/m2).
In March-May 2023, it is planned to install and commission additional 400 kW of solar panels on the roofs of the educational laboratory, student residences and administrative buildings of the institute.
In addition, it is planned to install a micro-hydroelectric power station with a capacity of 120 kW/h per day at the waterfall of the stream flowing through the territory of the main educational laboratory building of the institute, and works are being carried out in this regard. As a result, 34,560 million soums will be saved in one year.
