Today, “Khan Atlas” festival has been being held in all regions of our republic in order to glorify our national values and promote national clothes among young people.
In particular, the festival has been held in the style of a real holiday in Andijan State Medical Institute. At the opening ceremony of the event A. Abduhalimov, the head of the Department of Spirituality and Enlightenment, F.Rustamova, the leading specialist of Andijan regional administration of the Committee on Religious Affairs, G. Kholmatova, the adviser to the rector on women and girls’ issues of our institute, the chairman of the girls’ advisory council, team of the institute and students participated actively.
The speakers spoke about the long history of the satin fabric, the thousand-year-old past, ancient customs and traditions, taste, and aesthetic views of our people. They also said that dresses made of this fabric make Uzbek girls even more beautiful.
After that it was the turn of the artistic part of the event. Dances performed by talented students gave this ceremony an even more excited mood. At the show of national costumes different beautiful dresses were presented.
The participants of the event were invited to enjoy the samples of national crafts prepared by the faculties. This exhibition will be evaluated by the members of the jury, the winners will be awarded with special gifts from the rector of the institute.
