Today, on December 17, Andijan State Medical Institute, in collaboration with the National Guard of the Andijan region, held a national competition titled “Followers of Tomaris.”
The judging panel included G. Kholmatova, the advisor to the rector on women’s issues, A. Abduhalimov, head of the department for working with youth, spirituality, and enlightenment, G. Abduvokhidova, senior inspector for women’s issues at the institute, as well as guests from the military unit 89/65 in Andijan, including A. Polatova, senior officer of the women’s affairs department and lieutenant, and psychologist D. Bekmurodov.
The event was opened with a welcoming speech by G. Kholmatova, head of the Women’s Affairs Department at the institute. She emphasized the importance of strengthening women’s universal, national, and family values, increasing the social activity of patriotic girls, and educating women in the spirit of respecting our great ancestors’ exemplary history, love for the motherland, goodness, compassion, honesty, hard work, entrepreneurship, and dedication. She wished success to the participants who have taken bold steps in this regard.
Teams from the Faculty of Medicine named “Therapy Stars,” from the Faculty of Pediatrics named “Shijoat,” from the Faculty of Pharmacy named “Farm One,” and from the Faculty of Dentistry named “Followers of Tomaris” participated in the competition.
The participants competed in four categories: “Introducing the Team,” “We Are Friends with Sports,” “First Aid,” and “Patriotic Girl’s Ode,” showcasing their skills. Each performance was assessed by the judges on a 5-point scale.
According to the final results:
1st place was awarded to the “Therapy Stars” team;
2nd place went to the “Shijoat” team;
3rd place was taken by the “Farm One” team.
The winning teams were awarded diplomas along with monetary prizes: 3 million soums for the first place, 2 million soums for the second place, and 1 million soums for the third place.
