The law “On the State Flag of the Republic of Uzbekistan” was adopted on November 18, 1991 at the VII extraordinary session of the Supreme Council of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In honor of this date, an event was organized at the Andijan State Medical Institute.
It was headed by the rector of the Institute M.Madazimov. In the opening speech, he noted that the National flag is a symbol of the country, state sovereignty, it means that an independent state of Uzbekistan exists within these borders of the earth and embodies our national and cultural traditions.
As a guest at the event, the head of the Andijan regional branch of the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment Z.Tashtemirova, Deputy Mayor of Andijan, head of the city department of the Committee on Family and Women N.Ulugbekova, head of the regional Association of Psychologists N.Askarova, head of the regional department H. H.Omonov. Those who spoke at the event said that the flag of our state is a vivid embodiment of the past, present and future, that our ancestors, who did not want to give it into wild hands, gave their lives, holding it tightly in their hands, to the great mystic scientist, folk hero and fire poet Najmiddin Kubro. They stressed that the flag of our state embodies our spirituality, pride, boundless love for the Motherland and the people, faith in the future.
Also, the head of the Department for youth work and spiritual and educational activities of the Institute is A.Abdukhalimov and the lecturer of the medical faculty M.Mamajonova, speaking, noted that raising the flag of our Motherland is the responsibility of every young person, and for this it is necessary to tirelessly engage in science and research.
After that, a concert program prepared by teachers and students was presented. In it, the students performed poems and instructive scenes. And dancing performed by students of the music school gave the program a special mood.At the end of the event, active students were awarded with letters of thanks and memorable gifts.
