MEDICAL CHECK-UP ORGANIZED FOR THE RESIDENTS OF “BINOKOR” NEIGHBORHOOD

14:46 26.12.2024

Based on the tasks set forth during the video selector meeting chaired by our President on “Ensuring employment for the population in neighborhoods, increasing their income, and lifting them out of poverty,” systematic work is being carried out upon the instructions of the regional governor Sh. Abdurakhmonov.

Andijan State Medical Institute has been assigned to the “Binokor” neighborhood citizens’ assembly in Andijan city, where residents of 12 multi-story residential buildings live. Officials have been continuously studying their living conditions and issues.

In this regard, today, on December 26, the rector of the Andijan State Medical Institute, M. Madazimov, held a meeting with the residents of this neighborhood assembly. This meeting focused on urgent issues such as ensuring employment for the population, directing them towards entrepreneurship, increasing their incomes, and further strengthening public health.

During the meeting, individual conversations were also held with citizens, providing them with important suggestions on how to escape poverty and utilize preferential loans to start entrepreneurial activities. Comprehensive responses and recommendations were given regarding residents’ inquiries about accessing medical services, natural gas issues, and participation of applicants in subject circles.

Additionally, an in-depth medical check-up was organized for the residents of the “Binokor” neighborhood assembly by the institute. A total of 18 staff members from 13 different specialties participated, including cardiologists, endocrinologists, therapists, otolaryngologists, neurologists, gynecologists, urologists, surgeons, dermatologists, oncologists, and infectious disease specialists, examining nearly 300 residents regarding their health. During the examinations, 20 patients were referred to healthcare institutions within the health care system.

Moreover, about 80 patients underwent ultrasound examinations (UTT), electrocardiograms (EKG), and laboratory tests during the medical check-ups, and specialists provided recommendations based on the results.
