Forming a culture of reading among young people.

14:06 26.05.2020

In order to increase the importance of books in the formation of intellectual youth, to motivate them to read books and thus to think independently, to enjoy the achievements of world science and culture, the fourth direction of 5 important initiatives put forward by our President –  The organization of systematic work on the development of reading is another example of the opportunities provided for the development of reading among young people today.
The main task of every person, every family, our society is to raise talented children, to bring them up physically and spiritually mature, loyal to their parents and homeland.  So, the primary people who shape the reading culture in our youth are their parents. The whole lifestyle of the family and the relationship of parents with children play a big role in children’s upbringing.  Moreover, while mental development takes place throughout a person’s life, in contrast, character, will, and emotion are mainly composed in childhood and adolescence.  Raising a child requires great responsibility.  A person who feels responsibility always carefully plans his work and mobilizes all his strength and potential to achieve it, anticipating its consequences.

Based on the formation of  reading environment in the family, parents will be laying the groundwork for a bright future for their children.  This requires parents to correctly instil the spiritual duty to the children, to the country, to form family relationships, to bring them up as independent thinkers.
Just as the sun is reflected in the drop, so is the mother’s spiritual image in the child.  Indeed, it is stated in the hadis: “No father can leave to his child a greater heritage than good morality.”  Indeed, the future development of a child depends largely on parents, his or her family, the place where he or she learns, and the environment in which he or she lives.  Therefore, every parent should bring up his child to strive for a noble goal, to persevere in the pursuit of his goals, to be strong in study and work, to be enterprising. The children we are raising today will serve as the bright future of tomorrow’s Uzbekistan.
