Andijan State Medical Institute

The Department of Hospital Therapy of the Andijan State Medical Institute is one of the first established clinical departments. It was created and began its activities on the basis of the departments of the clinic of the Andijan State Medical Institute. In particular, in the 1958-1959 academic year, the Department of Internal Medicine was created at the Faculty of Medicine, the head of which was Professor T.M. Efendiev, who worked in 1958-1959. In 1959-1964, the head of the department was Associate Professor Sh.R. Rasulov. In the same year , Ph.D. associate professors of the department, M.A. Laufer, G.M. Kleiner, candidate of medical sciences, associate professor Ziyamxodjaeva M., assistants Sarkisyants A.G., Soliboev N.V., Soliboev F.P. Polatov and others carried on their working activities.
In 1965-1970, the department was headed by Professor I.F. Fatxullaev, and in 1970-1972 the head of the department was a student of I.A. Kassirsky, Professor Ulugbek Akbarovich Askarov, who completed his doctoral studies in Moscow. In 1972-1973, Associate Professor E.N. worked as head of the Department of Hospital Therapy. Konstantinov. In 1974, Professor Omerev Midat Mamatovich was elected head of the department.
Since September 1982, the Department of Hospital Therapy was divided into two departments: the 1st and 2nd Department of Hospital Therapy. Professor M.M. Omerov and Professor S.Yu. Tursunov were elected heads of the department. By 1983, a third department was allocated from these two departments, and Associate Professor Mamatbotir Otaxanovich Otaxanov was elected its head. In 1988, on the basis of the above departments, I-II subordinate departments were created and the Department of Hospital Therapy and Endocrinology of the Faculty of Medicine was created, the head of which was Professor K.K. Soliev and headed the department until 2005. In the 1997-1998 academic year, the department was renamed the Department of Faculty, Hospital Therapy, Traditional Medicine with a course of endocrinology and hematology. From 2005 to 2017, the department was headed by Professor Mamazoir Axmedovich Xojamberdiev. 2017 to the present time, the head of the department is Doctor of Medical Sciences. Yusupova Shaxnoza Kadyrjanovna.
