The role of women in the development of science is incomparable. A knowledgeable woman is not only the support of the family, but also an important factor in the prosperity of society. Intelligent and enlightened women proved to be the booster that determines the future of the country and their scientific potential which serves the development of the society.
Today, on February 11, a meeting has been held at Andijan State Medical Institute on the topic “Intelligent Lady is the Mirror of the Society: The Role of Women in the Development of Science” with the participation of female scientists and female students. This event was organized by the Institute’s Department of Women’s Affairs. The event was opened by Gulhayokhon Kholmatova, advisor to the rector for Women’s Affairs, with an introductory speech. She emphasized that the role of women in science, education and medicine was increasingly strengthening, and that it was an important task to attract young girls to science and support them.
The honorable guests of the event were the head of the Department of Hospital Therapy and Endocrinology, doctor of medical sciences, professor Shahnozakhon Yusupova, an outstanding scientist who makes a worthy contribution to the development of science with her scientific research in the field of medicine, associate professor of the Department of Biological Chemistry, doctor of medical sciences Go’yokhon Muminova, a teacher recognized for her scientific research and effective work in directing young people to science.
In their speeches, the teachers emphasized that the path of science was honorable, but at the same time responsible and difficult. They expressed sincere thoughts about the path they had taken during their scientific activities, the difficulties in the research process, the achievements gained with patience and determination. They also noted that the most important factor for young researchers was tireless research, loyalty to the traditions of mentor-student and setting high goals.
During the meeting, the mentors called on students to be more involved in science, not to be afraid of scientific research and not to forget that behind every success lies great work.

As part of this event, the teachers were presented with a certificate of appreciation from the rector of the Institute and the winner of the nomination “My Dreams in Science” Mahfuratoy Yusupova, a 4th-year student of Therapeutic Faculty, the winner of the nomination “Laboratory of Dreams” Rukhshona Qahramonova, a 1st-year student of Pediatric Faculty and the winner of the nomination “My Dreams in Science – the Future of a Healthy Generation” Dilnoza Azizova, a 1st-year student of Pediatric Faculty.
Such events serve to realize the scientific potential of our young women, inspire them to great goals and expand the ranks of educated and active women in our society.
