Today, on February 13, within the framework of the week “WOMAN IN SCIENCE IS A MIRROR OF SOCIETY”, a trip was organized for female students from Karakalpakstan studying at the institute under the leadership of G. Kholmatova, adviser on women’s issues to the rector of the Andijan State Medical Institute, in order to develop domestic tourism.
They got acquainted with the museum “Babur and World Culture” located in the “Bogi Babur” culture and recreation park named after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur. The decorative paintings inside the blue dome and on the walls of this museum are painted in the context of the work “Boburnoma”. There are rare manuscripts, books and historical items, handwritten copies of Babur’s works, weapons of Babur’s era, clothes of courtiers, samples of coins minted by the king-Baburids. The students got a lot of information about the history of Baburids, their way of life, the life and works of the great poet Z.M. Babur. The exhibits in the museum made it possible for students to visualize the information they heard.
For information, “Bogi Babur” is located on a hill on the edge of the Great Silk Road (Bogishamol) in the southeast of Andijan city. The park was commissioned in 1993 on the occasion of the 510th anniversary of the birth of Zakhiriddin Muhammad Babur. The park, which covers an area of 357 hectares, was built similar to the Babur Park in Kabul.
