A roundtable discussion with the participation of experts in the field on the topic of “Strengthening measures to combat drug addiction” was held in Andijan State Medical Institute.
According to the instruction of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Chairman of the Narcotics Control Commission A.N. Aripov issued on May 23, 2023, № 21/50-16, it is to be done to fight against the spread of drug addiction among students of our institute. J. Mansurov, chief secretary of the regional commission for control of narcotics under the provincial government, Sh. Toragulov, chief expert of the regional narcology court, M. Musayev, an employee of the criminal investigation department of the regional bureau of Internal Affairs, employees of the DSC, B.Abdullajonov, vice-rector for educational affairs, J.Khojayev, senior crime prevention inspector of our institute, tutors and students participated in the conversation.
The speakers at the roundtable said that drug addiction leads to physical and mental destruction of a person, depriving it of intelligence and leading to destruction. In order to prevent them from becoming addicted to such tools, they emphasized the importance of constant observation of students: where and with whom they are together, what they are doing in the family, what are the interests of young people.
They also mentioned the information about the prevention of drug-related crimes, illegal distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and powerful drugs in the region. Information on drug addiction and its harmful consequences, elimination, and the report in exact numbers was presented on a global scale.
