Today, on February 20, a working group analyzed the training of personnel in the field of medicine and the system of continuous medical education, as well as worked on improving the activities of medical education institutions at Andijan State Medical Institute.

First, the members of the working group had the conversation with the rector of the Institute M. Madazimov and the vice-rector for academic affairs B. Abdullajonov. They were informed about the quality of education at the Institute, the work carried out to implement the Resolutions and Decrees of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on medicine, areas of education, scientific activities, international joint programs and a number of other spheres.

After the meeting, the members of the working group visited the Institute’s clinic and the new 2,000-seat educational building. Construction and reconstruction work is currently underway at this clinic, the reconstruction of which was determined by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 713 dated November 25, 2021. A project estimate of 349.621 billion soums has been prepared for construction and reconstruction work and 196.445 billion soums have been fully allocated from the budget in 2021-2024, and construction and reconstruction work is underway. Members of the working group, who were closely acquainted with the processes, made their proposals.

After that, the officials visited the new 2,000-seat building of the Institute. This building was built on an area of 2 hectares on the territory of the Institute’s clinic in accordance with the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PQ-5154 dated June 21, 2021 “On measures to establish the “New Andijan” town and further support entrepreneurship in the Andijan region” and is designed for 2,000 places. Currently, students are receiving quality education in the new educational building. In addition to comfortable classrooms, the building also has simulation centers, allowing young people to consolidate their theoretical knowledge directly in practice.

Also, graduating students from schools who came to the Institute on the occasion of the “Open Doors” Day had a conversation with the rector of the Institute and members of the working group. This meeting made a great impression on the students. The conditions created at the Institute, as well as receiving information about the education system from the leaders themselves, encouraged young people to pursue a medical career in the future.
