Today, on September 12, a roundtable discussion on the topics of “Fighting Ignorance with Knowledge” and “The Primacy of Human Dignity and Rights – the Foundation of Development” took place at Andijan State Medical Institute.
The event was attended by N.Yuldashev, the chief specialist of the Andijan regional department of the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, A.Muzrafkhonov, the chief specialist of the Committee’s Andijan city department, as well as S.Salohiddinov, the first vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual-enlightenment work at Andijan State Medical Institute, along with students.
Initially, a film on the topic of “Human Dignity” was screened, and students’ opinions on this subject were gathered.
During the roundtable discussion, specialists provided students with insights into the concepts of religious tolerance and interethnic harmony, the phenomenon of young people unknowingly joining various movements today, and the negative consequences of religious extremism and terrorism that threaten our nation’s progress. They also discussed prevention measures, mutual trust between religions, respect among people of different faiths, equality, peace, and the significance of harmony.
Furthermore, it was emphasized that fighting ignorance with knowledge and the importance of studying and researching are crucial.
