A very solemn ceremony was organized in Andijan State Medical Institute in connection with the 31st anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Uzbekistan was performed at the beginning of the festive event.
S. Salohiddinov, the first vice-rector for youth affairs and spiritual and educational work, G. Abduvohidova, the regional representative of the Oliy Majlis for human rights (Ombudsman) in Andijan region, G. Kholmatova, the advisor to the rector for women’s issues, deans of the faculties, crime-prevention inspector, professors and students participated in the event. The speakers at the event congratulated everyone on this day and spoke about the fact that human dignity has become the main factor in the Constitution as well as the attention paid to youth in the field of education.
During the event, talented students performed poems, national songs and dances dedicated to the Motherland and the Constitution. Foreign students also recited the articles of the Constitution. Then A. Abduhalimov, head of the department of youth affairs, spirituality and enlightenment delivered a lecture on the essence of the Constitution.
In addition, the winners of various contests and sports competitions held within the framework of “Constitution Week” were awarded diplomas and letters of thanks.
