Currently, forming intolerant attitude towards corruption in society and enhancing the legal awareness and culture of the population is considered one of the urgent issues. Special attention is being paid to legal advocacy efforts in educational institutions regarding this matter.

To this end, on September 6, a preventive event titled “Corruption – a Barrier to Development” was organized at Andijan State Medical Institute with the participation of first-year students from the Faculty of Dentistry and the Faculty of Pharmacy.

The event was attended by the acting Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Z. Mamasoliyev, Head of the Department for Combating Corruption and Compliance Control S. Askarov, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy K. Yulchiyev, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry F. Urinov, as well as department staff and tutors.

During the event, students were provided with detailed information about the concept of corruption, its causes, preventive measures, as well as the work being carried out at the institute to combat corruption and the activities of the compliance control system.
At the end of the event, videos on the topic “What is Corruption?” were shown, and students’ opinions were heard.
Such events play a significant role in strengthening the principles of the rule of law and integrity in the minds of young people.
