Today, on April 26, an event titled “Mehr qolur, muhabbat qolur” which means “More Love, More Kindness” was held at Andijan State Medical Institute to commemorate the 71st anniversary of the birth of the People’s Poet of Uzbekistan, Muhammad Yusuf.
The event was attended by S. Salohiddinov, the First Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work, Khurshidabonu Vakhobjon kizi, the head of the Andijan regional department of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, G. Kholmatova, an advisor to the rector on issues concerning women, and Vosit Ahmad, a member of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan.
The speakers at the event emphasized that the poetry of Muhammad Yusuf, the beloved poet of the Uzbek people, has left a significant mark not only in artistic terms but also in spiritual and social aspects of our nation’s consciousness. They highlighted that themes such as patriotism, human values, and love in the poet’s work play a crucial role in the upbringing of youth.
They particularly noted Muhammad Yusuf’s unique talent and his immense contribution to the spiritual world of our people through his poetry, stating that his work is valuable to humanity and that his words resonate deeply in the hearts of our people, serving as a source of inspiration for young people.
In the artistic part of the event, scenes dedicated to the life and work of the poet were performed by activists of the primary organization of the Youth Union at the institute. Following this, talented students recited excerpts from Muhammad Yusuf’s finest poems, and soul-stirring songs were performed, inviting everyone to dance, including songs performed by artists from the Andijan branch of the Uzbekistan Philharmonic.
