It was known that President Shavkat Mirziyoyev gave the instructions on February 13, 2019 at the videoconference meeting in order to implement the measures to further development the Olympic and Paralympic movement, bringing mass sports to a new level, increasing physical activity of the population and to further popularization the sports among students and professors-teachers, a number of sports events were being held.
On March 4, 2025 during the meeting between the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovations of the Republic of Uzbekistan Q. Sharipov and the Minister of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Ikramov, an agreement was signed on the popularization of sports events. In accordance with this agreement, the “Minister’s Cup” sports competitions were being held in Andijan State Medical Institute.
In this regard, today, on March 22, the final matches of the mini-football sport were held among the professors, teachers and employees of Andijan State Medical Institute.
In the final match the “Stomatology” team and the “Pediatrics” team competed on the field for the “Minister’s Cup”. At the end of the uncompromising competition the “Stomatology” team won with a score of 1:0.
The results of the mini-football competitions for the “Minister’s Cup” were as follows:
The 1st place : “Stomatology” team
The 2nd place : “Pediatrics” team
The 3rd place : “Administration” team
The 4th place : “Tutors” team.
The winning teams were awarded cash prizes of 12,000,000 (twelve million) soums for the 1st place, 10,000,000 (ten million) soums for the 2nd place, 8,000,000 (eight million) soums for the 3rd place and 2,000,000 (two million) soums for the 4th place, as well as diplomas, souvenirs and the Minister’s Cup for the 1st place winners. Active participants of the competition were presented with certificates of appreciation.
