Under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, a video conference was held on the development of school education.
New initiatives were put forward aimed at the comprehensive development and reform of the industry. A number of tasks were set to radically improve the industry, and along with the achievements, shortcomings were also eliminated.
– In general, the reform of 10,130 schools across the country is closely linked to the future of more than 6 million pupils, more than 500,000 teachers, in general, all sectors of our society, every family. Therefore, we need a quality education system, schools that corresponds modern requirements and have all the conditions, with qualified teachers as well as school directors with leadership qualities.
“The fourth priority in the development strategy, 5 goals of the “100 goals of human dignity” and 18 tasks in it are directly related to school education,” the President said.
The President also gave a critical assessment of the quality and content of education in schools.
During the meeting, it was noted that teaching methods, textbooks, from the desk to the buildings, will be completely revised. It was announced that school reform councils would be established at the district, regional and national levels.
“I personally chair the Republican Council. District and regional councils are headed by governors. Why do we make boards? Because we will do this, of course, in consultation with our people and the general public, based on their opinions. We will discuss each innovation with teachers, specialists and parents,” the President said.
It also indicates the role of new schools to be built and renovated over the next five years, the schools to be allocated, conditions and opportunities. This will be done by regional and district administrations, and the powers of Ministry of Public Education to be a construction contractor will be terminated.
During the meeting, it was noted that special attention should be paid to school textbooks, the professional experience of teachers, and the teaching staff.
A student who has received a thorough education at school demonstrates his talent and achieves high results in higher education. He will become a worthy, first of all, necessary personnel in his chosen field. This will open the way for the development of all spheres and for our people to live happily ever after.
