Andijan State Medical Institute

The department of internal medicine propaedeutics was established in 1957 in the internal medicine department of the regional hospital with 120 beds. It was headed by candidate of medical sciences V.A. Arustamyan was appointed. Candidate of medical sciences A.A. Boltaboev, assistants O.G. Morozova, Ye.N. Konstantinov and N.A. Alimova worked in the department. In 1958-1959, the department was headed by Professor G.M. Efendiev. Since August 1959, associate professor BI Soibel was appointed as the head of the department. During these years, the department worked in the 1st city hospital with 60 beds, and new employees joined the department.
In 1961-1972, the department began to operate in the 60-bed internal medicine department of the railway hospital in the city. By this time, assistants L.Kh. Ilyasov, I.A. Ali-Zade, A.D. Skvortsova, G.N. Yushina, S. Yu. Tursunov, Z. S. Velmizova began to work. During these years, a wide range of scientific works on cardiology were carried out at the department. As a result, the head of the department, associate professor B.I.Soybel, and assistants Ye.N.Konstantinov, Z.I.Khasanova, S.Yu.Tursunov defended their candidate theses.
