Today, on June 19, a meeting was held at Andijan State Medical Institute to analyze the scientific activities of the professors and teachers and provide them with guidance. The meeting was attended by the rector of the institute, M. Madazimov, vice-rectors, deans of faculties, and heads of departments.
At the beginning of the meeting, Rector M. Madazimov emphasized the importance of further enhancing the scientific potential of the institute’s professors and teachers and their need to become specialists in line with global standards.
“You, as educators, hold not only the medical profession but also the status of a mentor. You will impart knowledge to future doctors. This undoubtedly requires great responsibility and continuous exploration. During the summer season, we plan to invite an expert with international experience to enrich your knowledge on publishing articles in journals indexed in the ‘Scopus’ database. I believe this will further enhance your experience and ultimately lead many of your students to follow your path,” said the rector.
Following this, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation F. Rasulov provided information about “Scopus” database how to reliably publish articles in journals included in its database. He discussed the requirements for articles published in these journals and offered recommendations to professors and teachers who are struggling to publish their work in these journals. He also conducted explanatory work to prevent falling victim to fraudulent companies that offer article publishing services.
Additionally, Dr. Aamir Ali, who has been working at universities ranked among the top 300 in the People’s Republic of China for many years and has a “Hirsch” index of 15 (the “Hirsch” index is a measure used to assess an author’s scientific productivity and impact), conducted a lesson on publishing articles in journals indexed in the “Scopus” database. The specialist will conduct master classes for the institute’s professors and teachers on publishing articles in “Scopus”-indexed journals throughout the summer months.
