“Introduction to the Credit-Based Education System” week is currently underway for first-year students in Andijan State Medical Institute. On September 5, a roundtable discussion was held by the first vice-rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual-Educational Work S. During the session, students received comprehensive information about the Institute’s activities. The essence and advantages of the credit-module system were explained in detail. In addition, topics such as the purposeful selection of elective subjects, the development of independent learning skills, principles of academic integrity and issues related to both professional and personal growth were discussed.

Moreover, the students were given detailed guidance on the Institute’s internal rules and regulations, dress code, active participation in classes, meaningful use of free time, involvement in student clubs and effective utilization of the information-resource center.

The event also covered the historical processes leading to the country’s independence, the Jadid movement’s struggle for science and education as well as the role and achievements of youth in the development of New Uzbekistan.
The orientation sessions within this week-long program are also being conducted across various departments of the Institute.
