Spiritual and educational event has been held in the students’ hostel of Andijan State Medical Institute on the theme “Let your mother tongue be respected” on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the granting of the status of the state language to the Uzbek language and the holiday of the Uzbek language on October 21.
Khurshida Vahobjan, the head of Andijan region branch of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, the daughter of the poet, Barno Saliyeva, a member of the association, poet Nusrat Abdusalam and S. Salohiddinov, the first vice-rector of the institute for youth issues and spiritual-educational affairs, deans’ asistants of faculties, teachers and students participated in the solemn ceremony.
At the beginning of the event the speakers congratulated everyone on the holiday of the Uzbek language and recited poems dedicated to the beauty of our mother tongue.
The guests of this event which was organized in order to meaningfully organize the free time of students, to introduce them the works of creators, poets, writers read and listened to examples of creativity. Talented students of the institute also cheered up the audience with their songs.
A truly creative night was held around the big bonfire.
