Today, on July 4th, a republican scientific and practical conference on the topic of “Urgent Problems of Spinal Surgery” was held at Andijan State Medical Institute.
The conference was opened by the rector of the institute, M. Madazimov, who spoke about the relevance and importance of the conference topic.
Following this, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, A. Khudayarov, conveyed his sincere greetings to the participants of the conference. He elaborated on the relevance of the topic, the problems and solutions related to it, as well as the modern methods being implemented in the field today.
The conference was attended by specialists from across the country, including residents, master’s students, and undergraduates.
During the plenary session of the conference, specialists from our republic delivered presentations. Topics included “The History of Spinal Surgery Development in Uzbekistan,” “Introduction of New Treatment Methods in Uzbekistan’s Neuro-Surgery,” “Current State and Development Prospects of Endoscopic Spinal Surgery,” and “Surgery for Extramedullary Tumors Using Lasers,” among other urgent topics.
In the second half of the day, the conference continued in three thematic directions: “Urgent Problems in Treating Spinal Injuries and Degenerative Diseases,” “Minimally Invasive Technologies in Spinal Surgery,” and “Diagnosis and Treatment Issues of Spinal Column and Spinal Cord Pathologies in Children.” More than 50 presentations were delivered by specialists during these sessions.
