As you know, on the occasion of March 8 – International Women’s Day, the Department of women’s affairs of Andijan State Medical Institute has been holding the “Respect for Women” week.
Today, on March 5, the “National Spring” contest was held among female students from various faculties within the framework of this week. The contest was opened by the Institute’s rector’s advisor on women’s affairs, G. Khollmatova, who warmly congratulated all women and girls on the upcoming holiday of beauty and grace. She emphasized the importance of being aware of Uzbek traditions and customs while studying the field of medicine as well as learning crafts.
The contest jury consisted of G. Khollmatova, the rector’s advisor on women’s affairs, as the Chairperson; R. Rustamova, deputy director of Andijan City Presidential School; Y. Iminova, head of the scientific and methodological department of the Institute’s Information Resource Center and U. Zokirova, a women’s psychologist.
In this contest, the participants competed in four categories: 1) Introduction, 2) Information about famous Uzbek women, 3) Singing “Alla”, and 4) Free topic.
The female students actively demonstrated their skills throughout the categories. At the end, the results were announced in a fair manner.
According to the results:
the 1st place was awarded to the “Pharmacy Queens” team from the Pharmaceutical Faculty;
the 2nd place was shared among the “Spoiled Girls” team from Therapeutic Faculty and the “Grace Queens” team from Pediatric Faculty;
the 3rd place went to the “Bibikhonim” team from Dentistry Faculty.
The winning teams were awarded with the cash prizes: 3,000,000 (three million) som for the 1st place, 2,000,000 (two million) som for the 2nd place and 1,000,000 (one million) som for the 3rd place.
Additionally, on behalf of the Institute’s administration, certificates of appreciation were presented to the mothers of the female students who actively participated in the Institute’s cultural and educational events and demonstrated excellent academic performance.
