STUDENTS OF ANDIJAN STATE MEDICAL INSTITUTE TOOK THE FIRST PLACE AT THE INTERNATIONAL PIROGOV FORUM

15:31 22.11.2025

From November 20 to 22 of this year, the Fourth Open Students’ Pirogov Forum was held at the Kirghiz-Russian Slavonic University in Bishkek, named after Boris Yeltsin (KRSU). This prestigious event was dedicated to the memory of the heroes of Kyrgyzstan, famous surgeons, academician M.M. Mamakeyev and Professor E.H. Akramov. Within its framework, an international scientific-practical conference on the topic “Clinical anatomy as a basis for medical professional activity,” as well as the third International Student Olympiad in clinical anatomy and surgical skills were organized.

A team from Andijan State Medical Institute (ASMI), led by Professor Z. Kakharov, head of the Department of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy, also participated actively in these events. During the competition among groups, the ASMI team demonstrated high theoretical knowledge and solid practical skills, and took the honourable first place.

Within the framework of the forum, three students from the department presented their research papers, sharing the results of their scientific work with international audience. Their presentations focused on clinical anatomy, surgical practice, and the development of student research activities, attracting significant attention.

The students excelled not only in theory but also in various practical stages such as placing sutures, desmography, providing emergency care, and working with surgical instruments. These achievements received high praise from the jury members. This success enhances the reputation of ASMI in the international educational and scientific arena while highlighting the effectiveness of ongoing methodological efforts within the Department of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy.

This victory is a source of great pride for the institute’s administration, faculty members, and all students, serving as strong motivation for more active participation in future international forums and competitions.
