On May 21, 2019, the professors from the Setubal Polytechnic Institute of Portugal Selio Gabriel Figueiredo Pina and Ricardo Miguel Domes Simoes Baptisna visited Andijan State Medical Institute.
The guests were welcomed by pro-rector on Scientific Affairs and Innovation, professor M.Madazimov, professors and teachers, pro-rector on Academic Affairs A.Arzikulov at the main building of the institute.
Initially, a friendly conversation was held at the International Relations Department.
During the conversation, the pro-rector of the institute G.Khodjimatov spoke about the institute, its glorious way, achievements, achievements of the international scientific, educational-methodical and cultural cooperation.
He also informed about the “Systematic Master’s Program in Clinical Engineering in Uzbekistan”, about the work which was done within the joint Master`s program in medicine.
During the conversation, they agreed the negotiations on strengthening partnerships, joint programs and training courses.
After that, the guests visited simulation training center, observed the conditions created for practical skills, moullage, stimulators, phantoms and robots.
Docent of the department of Anatomy, Operative Surgery and Topographical Anatomy, Z.Kakharov, explained to them each process at the simulation rooms.
Therefore, at the 1st lecture hall, professor Selio Gabriel Figueiredo Pina from the Portugal Setubal Polytechnic University participated in an international conference entitled “The role and importance of tribology in medicine” and the international and educational course started with participation of professors, residents, clinical interns and senior students. The educational course was opened by pro-rector of the institute G.Khodjimatov.
Professor Selio Gabriel Figueiredo Pina made a presentation on “The role and importance of tribology in medicine”, “Skin tribology”, “Teeth tribology”, “Tribology of other systems”.
The lecture was attended by professors, teachers, residences and clinical interns of the Institute and specialists in the field.
