In 2023, the department was headed by Candidate of Medical Sciences, Associate Professor M.M. Akhmadkhodjaeva. Associate Professor M.M. Akhmadkhodjaeva is the author of more than 100 scientific articles and more than 20 rationalization proposals.
Classes are conducted in Uzbek and Russian. The department has an electronic library for developing practical skills, which contains modern communication technologies, the necessary scientific literature, Regulations, Laws, reports of public authorities and management, Sanitary rules and regulations, methodological recommendations, etc.
Organization and implementation of educational and scientific-methodological work at a high level, conducting scientific research, advanced training of teachers; gaining modern methods accepted in the world practice maximally; meet the requirements of the modern level of education; maintaining effective functioning, constant development and increasing the effectiveness of the educational, methodological and scientific activities of the department in accordance with the requirements of the standards; support for the high moral and ethical status of the department; development and submission for approval in the prescribed manner of curricula and educational and thematic plans in disciplines, reflecting the latest achievements of science, culture and prospects for their development .
