Today, on April 23, Nikki Hafeezi, director of the MESCA Foundation-National Eye Institute in Tashkent, the general director of the ELZA Institute in Switzerland, a member of the “Light for sight” foundation conducted a motivational training for female students of the Institute’s Pediatric and International Faculty in Andijan State Medical Institute.
Head of International Relations Department F.Rasulov, G.Kholmatova, Rector’s Adviser on Women’s Issues, professors, teachers and students of Andijan State Medical Institute participated in the training.
In April 2015, Nikki Hafeezi was recognized by the readers of the international magazine “The Ophthalmologist” as one of the “40 under 40” among the most promising new personalities of world ophthalmology. She has provided strategic management consulting in the medical field to academic institutions, companies and non-profit organizations in Europe and North America. During the training “Development of entrepreneurship in medicine” organized in our Institute, Nikki Hafeezi gave detailed information to the students about her life experiences, difficulties in her work and their solutions. She spoke about the aspects that are important for women’s professional development and ability for paying attention to their families.
Down’s syndrome was also mentioned in her speech. It was underlined the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of corneal diseases in “Solar children” born with this syndrome. Detailed information was given about inventions and innovations implemented by scientists in this field. Students received detailed answers to all their questions.
At the end of the event Nikki Hafeezi was thanked and presented with souvenirs.
