According to the Decree of Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the GIZ project “Management of advanced medical technologies in Uzbekistan”, an endourology center was established in the clinic of Andijan State Medical Institute. GIZ allocated 130 thousand euros for the purchase of modern medical equipment, thanks to which minimally invasive surgeries for wave crushing of urinary tract stones are carried out. The center trains specialists in endourology for the region.
The center is equipped with a simulation center, classrooms, a high-tech conference room, which allows cadets to further improve their knowledge. In addition, surgeons – urologists from Andijan, Ferghana and Namangan regions improve their skills together with the specialists of the center. Complicated surgical operations are carried out for the population of the regions.
At present, in order to develop endourology and the use of high-tech methods of treatment, as well as to exchange experience not only with republican, but also with foreign specialists, Andijan State Medical Institute is hosting an international scientific and practical conference on the topic “Innovative approach to the treatment of urological diseases”, which is attended by 15 specialists from Dagestan, Russia, South Korea, Turkey, Germany, over 65 specialists from the republic, urologists, endourologists, oncourologists, andrologists, doctoral students, young scientists, independent researchers, masters, residents.
