INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE: SIMULATION EDUCATION IN MEDICINE: CHALLENGES, SOLUTIONS AND PROSPECTS

Today, on November 14th, Andijan State Medical Institute hosted an international scientific-practical conference titled “Simulation Education in Medicine: Challenges, Solutions and Prospects.” The event was conducted both online and offline (hybrid format).

The conference was opened with a welcoming speech by the institute’s rector, Mr. Madazimov:

“Today marks the beginning of our important event at Andijan State Medical Institute dedicated to simulation education in medicine. On behalf of all participants, I sincerely welcome you to this significant gathering.

At present, simulation-based training plays a crucial role in preparing medical professionals who are competent, safe, and effective. Through this conference, we have the opportunity to enhance practical skills, study international experiences, find joint solutions for existing challenges, and outline future prospects.

On this occasion, I would like to express my gratitude to all scientists, specialists, and foreign partners for their participation and active collaboration. I believe that today’s meeting will serve as a solid platform for knowledge exchange, new ideas, and innovative approaches.”

Congratulations were delivered via online and offline formats from various dignitaries including Minister of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan A. Khudayarov, Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation K. Sharipov, khokim of Andijan Region Sh. Abdurakhmonov, Director of Europe’s Simulation Institute in Medicine M. Gorshkov (Germany), Chairman of Russia’s Society for Simulation Education in Medicine A. Kolish (Russia), among others.

 

Specialists and scholars from across Uzbekistan and other countries such as Germany, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Tajikistan, India participated actively in the conference. Over fifty presentations were made during the event.

Additionally, within the framework of the conference, several masterclasses were held:

✔️ Professor Natalya Katkova, Head of Obstetrics and Gynecology Department at Volga Research Medical University Faculty of Physician Training Improvement, presented on “Skills in Delivering Births with Cephalic and Pelvic Presentation.”

✔️ Dr. Zaripova, Deputy Head of Certification and Accreditation Center at I.P. Pavlov First St. Petersburg State Medical University, gave a lecture on “Critical Situations in Hospitals.”

✔️ Specialists from Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University, A. Rudoy, P. Ligatyuk, and D. Kovtun, shared insights on “Dimedus – Maximum Realism in Combination.”

✔️ Master classes on topics related to “Medical Simulation and Application of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching” were led by German expert M. Gorshkov, who is also Editor-in-Chief of the Journal “Virtual Technologies in Medicine,” President of the Expert Committee of ROSOMED, and Director of EuroMedSim – European Institute for Simulation in Medicine.
