In order to improve the health of elderly people and to increase attention to them, definite medical events are being held throughout our country within the framework of “Elderly Health Month”. In particular, scrupulous medical examination has been conducted in all regions of our province within this month.
One of the similar events was held for elderly veterans of the region by Multidisciplinary Central Polyclinic of Khojaabad regional medical corporation. 12 qualified specialists of Andijan State Medical Institute participated in it, among them: cardiologist, endocrinologist, therapist, otorhinolaryngologist, neuropathologist, gynecologist, urologist, surgeon, dermatologist, oncologist, infectious disease specialist, etc.
Blood pressure was measured, clinical laboratory tests were conducted, ECG, X-ray, USI tests were performed according to the instructions in 235 elderly citizens of the region who came for a medical examination. During checkup, 4 patients who needed inpatient treatment were given directions for treatment in the regional and 12 patients were given directions for treatment at the district hospital. Also, free medicines allocated by our state were distributed to our citizens who need outpatient treatment due to their health condition. Specialists visited the homes of 2 elderly veterans and carried out medical examination.
