The department was founded in 1984 on base of treat faculty. This department was situated on base of Andijan region maternity complex. The first head of the department was candidate of medical science, docent Abdusalamova Klara Ilhamovna. The first members of department were Acopova Albina Leontyevna, Rahmatullaeva Gavhar Rahmatullaevna, Nezametdinova Mahbuba Muminovna.
Since 1985 till 2000 the head of the department was docent Ovchinnikova Lidiya Sergeevna. The recent year docent Turaeva Kunduz Yuldashevna, Nezametdinova Mahbuba Muminovna, Naumov Yuriy Germanovich, Rahmatullaeva Gavhar Rahmatullaevna, Solovyova Nina Stepanovna.
From november 2000 till april 2002 Turayeva Kunduz Yuldashevna worked a temporary head of department The staff of members are the following candidate of medical science, docent Stalinskay Valentina Pavlovna, assistents-Nezametdinova Mahbuba Muminovna, Bogdanova Aliya Nailyena, Ashurova Sadetjan Abdumuminovna. From april of 2002 till January 2013 Ashurova Sadetjan Abdumuminovna was head of department
Since January of 2013 till up to date docent Yakubova Oltinoy Abduganiyevna is the head of this department. The staff are the following candidate of medical science, docent Suleymanova Nasiba Adashevna, assistant Mahmudova Kamila Shavkatovna.
In this department new technology uses for treatment and diagnose in mid wirer and gynecology.
