Andijan State Medical Institute hosted a seminar in accordance with the action plan of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan on “Protection of the population and the region from emergencies.”
The seminar was attended by Deputy Chief of the Emergency Situations Department of Andijan city M.Usmanov, Chief of the Emergency Situations subdepartment of Andijan A.Sharipov, Chief of the Rescue Team of the Emergency Situations Department of the region R.Boltaboev, Inspector of the Emergency Situations Department of Andijan Sh.Hojimatov, the head of the department of Civil and Labor Protection of ASMI U.Akhmedov, heads of departments of ASMI and students.
The seminar was opened by the head of the department of Civil and Labor Protection of the institute U.Akhmedov. He informed the participants about the work carried out in accordance with the decisions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the action plan to bring it to a new level.
During the seminar, experts provided insights on the prevention of emergencies, compliance with fire safety rules, the correct and rational use of gas and electric wires, action plan in case of food poisoning.
In the practical part of the seminar, the principle of operation of search and rescue equipment, fire extinguishers produced in the country and abroad was introduced.
In doing so, the experts showed the students the rescue equipment and told them how to use it. The durability and methods of use of equipment produced abroad and in our country aroused great interest among students.
Rescuers from the Regional Emergency Department then demonstrated the rescue actions.
At the end of the event, experts answered many questions of students and staff.
It was stressed that every citizen should always be ready for emergencies.
