You know, I am proud of your strength and enthusiasm. Today 8217 students who study at the Andijan State Medical Institute are my hope for the future. I am pleased with all your achievements.
2021 has been a year of tremendous success for us. Today, our institute has more than 47 scientific clubs, 14 sports, 2 sewing circles, where more than 2000 students study the secrets of science and profession. In addition, 300 talented students conduct scientific research.
This year, more than 245 students took part in science Olympiads organized by the Ministry of International and Higher and Secondary Special Education, Republican Medical Institutes and won prizes. 6 startup projects were approved and won cash prizes ranging from 3 million to 50 million.
The most exciting thing is that in 2021, 1 winner of the State Prize named after Zulfiya, 1 winner of the State Prize “Mardo’g’lon”, 2 nominees for scholarships, 3 members of the Youth Academy, 8 winners of the regional khokim’s scholarship. This is a great achievement of course!
In addition, the number of our young people who are successful in the fields of culture, education, arts and sports is growing day by day.

I will always appreciate your hard and honorable work. We truly recognize your perseverance in training modern and qualified medical staff. In 2020, 6 doctoral dissertations were defended, while in 2021 this number was increased to 23. The number of inventions and patents has reached 52. 38 monographs, 265 scientific articles were published in the journals of the Central Election Commission of Uzbekistan, 34 in Scopus, 638 in foreign journals, 201 in foreign conference collections, 3074 in Uzbek conference collections, rationalization proposals 239 368 of them were put into practice. 32 scientific-practical conferences were held at the institute.
This is not all, cooperation with more than 53 foreign countries continues. Specialists from prestigious higher education institutions conduct classes on the basis of distance and direct mobility programs.
The end of the year opened the door to an unexpected opportunity for us. During the visit of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the clinic of Andijan State Medical Institute, the President noted the need to radically improve the activities of Andijan State Medical Institute and its clinic. In this regard, the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan was approved. Currently, the clinic is under construction and creative work. At the end of the next 2022, a new era will begin for us. The clinic will have new departments of surgery, cardiac surgery, neurosurgery, urology, nephrology, as well as new departments of transplantology, endosurgery, X-ray endovascular surgery, endourology, neurology and medical genetics, as well as an immunogenetic laboratory.
In addition, at the initiative of the President, a 1000-seat educational building and dormitory are being built in accordance with modern standards for our students to getup-to-date medical education.
These conditions are created for the effective work of staff and students.
