Review on the activity of doctor of medical sciences, professor Mamazair Akhmedovich Khojamberdiyev, Honorary Rector of Andijan State Medical Institute, health worker who served in the Republic of Uzbekistan, the owner of the Order of “Labor Fame”, full member of the New York Academy of Sciences, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Social Sciences, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the teacher’s birth.
Andijan State Medical Institute has its place and glamour among the medical universities not only in the republic, but also in the CIS countries as well as many developed countries of the world. Many valuable people grew up and worked in this auspicious place. Doctor of medical sciences, professor, health care worker who served in the Republic of Uzbekistan, owner of the Order of “Labor Glory”, New York Academy of Sciences full member, correspondent member of the Russian Academy of Social Sciences, honorary rector of Andijan State Medical Institute Mamazair Akhmedovich Khojamberdiyev’s services are incomparable.
In 1967 he graduated from Therapeutic Faculty of Andijan State Medical Institute and started his work as a senior laboratory technician at the Department of Pharmacology of our Institute.
During 1997-2010 years M. Khojamberdiyev worked as the rector of Andijan State Medical Institute. He raised the activity of the Institute to a high level in every way. Thanks to his tireless efforts, the new building of the institute was completed, the material and technical base of all departments was enriched.
The methodological level of the educational process has been improved, educational and work discipline has been strengthened. Particular importance was attached to the improvement of the quality of the educational process and the introduction of modern technologies. The rating of the Institute has risen to a high level among the higher educational institutions of our country. Two educational centers for training of general practitioners have been established.
In 2013 he contributed directly to the allocation of 870 million soums for the construction and revitalization of the new Information Center of the Institute.
As a result of M. Khojamberdiyev’s enthusiasm the treatment has improved greatly. The ADTI clinic was supplied with modern equipment, a cardiac surgery department was opened, open heart operations were started.
“Telemedicine” was launched in order to establish distance education and further improvement of treatment at the institute’s clinical bases as well as to interact directly with scientists and major specialists of several institutes of Russian Federation and German scientists. The international “Telebridge” connection was launched to communicate with students and employees of the Institute, their lectures, ongoing visits and operations.
M. Khojamberdiyev paid great attention to increasing the scientific potential of our Institute and training highly qualified specialists. He created material and spiritual conditions for those engaged in scientific work. The central scientific testing laboratory of the Institute has been supplied with sufficient reagents and modern equipment.
During his rectorship, Professor M. Khojamberdiyev aimed to further improve the scientific potential of the institute, educational-pedagogical process and raise it to the international level. The institute has achieved high results at the national level. 34 doctors of science and 149 candidates of science have graduated, and the scientific laboratory of the institute has been fundamentally developed. For the first time in the institute, the specialized council on “Internal diseases” was opened and the council worked effectively under the chairmanship of Professor M. Khojamberdiyev. The council made a great contribution to the training of qualified scientific pedagogues not only at the institute, but also at the national level, and 42 candidate dissertations were defended.
Thanks to the activity of M. Khojamberdiyev, Andijan State Medical Institute has become an institution with a high rating in the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the potential and reputation of the institute has risen to a high level. In addition to being a great organizer, demanding, fair leader, he is distinguished by his sincerity, modesty, inquisitiveness, initiative, and kindness.
M. Khojamberdiyev made a great contribution to the development of the health care sector and the development of the medical education sector during his many years of work. He is a highly loyal person, worthy of respect and attention as a leader worthy of admiration and example for all doctors-pedagogues, especially students and young people.
M. Khojamberdiyev is a member of the board of authors of the journals “Uzbekistan Medical Journal”, “Uzbekistan Therapists Newsletter”, “Lymphology”, “Central Asian Medical Journal”.
To date, M. Khojamberdiyev is the author of 11 textbooks, 5 monographs, 448 scientific articles in magazines, more than 600 theses, 28 educational and methodological manuals, 5 patents, one of which has immunostimulating activity. He was the author of 72 practical applications on the method of production of “Hemalin” drug.
Scientific products are published in the international and prestigious journals of the world.
Professor M. Khojamberdiyev created the school of cardiologists, and under his scientific leadership, 4 doctors of science and 15 candidates of science were trained. Also, under his leadership, more than 200 master students and clinical residents, cardiology specialists have been trained.
Currently, 2 of his students are about to defend their doctorate and 6 candidate’s dissertations.
Professor M. Khojamberdiyev was elected honorary rector of Andijan State Medical Institute by the Scientific Council.
