On the initiative of the Council of Women of Andijan State Medical Institute, an online conference on the topic “PROTECTING WOMEN FROM VIOLENCE AND OPPRESSION” was held through the ZOOM platform. The first to speak was the Chairperson of the Women’s Council of ASMI, Associate Professor M. Djuraeva and read a report on the topic “The work carried out at Andijan State Medical Institute to protect women from violence and oppression”.
After that, the head of the regional “Center for the rehabilitation and adaptation of people who experienced violence” Kh.Mirzarakhimova spoke and held a conversation on the topic “Trends in the rehabilitation of women who experienced violence.” The conversation was accompanied by videos that were seen by over 300 online participants.
Also during the conference the specialist of the main regional department of justice A. Ikromov made a speech on “Legal rights of women subjected to oppression and violence”, deputy head of Andijan regional department of internal affairs G. Abduvohidova made a report on “On preventive measures and protection orders to protect women from violence in Andijan region”, assistant of the Department of Psychiatry and Narcology, psychologist N. Sarbaeva spoke on “Behind every great man there is a woman ”, associate professor of the department of social and humanitarian sciences B. Batirova made a report on “The Impact of the Violence on Women in the Family on the Fate of Children”, senior lecturer of the Department of Oncology and Medical Radiology D.Urmanbaeva made a report on “Activities of the Women’s Council of Andijan State Medical Institute at the faculty level”.
The participants of the conference stressed that women are sacred and every violence against them will never go unpunished.
The conference held in Q&A manner showed that the participants were very interested.
