Jizzakh State The academic lyceum under the Pedagogical Institute was established by the order of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 30, 2001 No 96. The academic lyceum provides training in 39 groups in 4 areas of study. Currently, the lyceum has 1205 students. At the academic lyceum, 89 qualified teachers teach the students coming. Of these, 2 are academics, 19 are head teachers, and 10 are lead teachers. In 2008, 8 young specialists of the lyceum, and in 2009, 8 received master’s degrees. The average age of academic high school teachers is 30 years. The administration of the lyceum has established cooperation with the Jizzakh State Pedagogical Institute and the Jizzakh Polytechnic Institute, which are the guardian universities. Cooperation agreements have been signed with related departments of higher education institutions in the region, and branches of the departments of “Natural Sciences”, “Foreign Languages”, “Exact Sciences” and “Social Sciences” have been established at the lyceum. All classrooms are equipped in accordance with modern requirements. There are 3 computer rooms connected to the Internet. The physics, chemistry, and biology classrooms are equipped with equipment borrowed from the South Korean government, and students are making full use of the subjects in their laboratory classes to increase their knowledge. Classes are held according to plan. Temurov Sakhob (physics), Gulyamov Gafir (Chemistry), Bakirova Dilorom and Normatova Markhabo (Biology) prepared instructions for all laboratory work. The academic lyceum is equipped with a room for spirituality and enlightenment. In the Spirituality and Enlightenment Room, teachers and students use newspapers and magazines published by national and regional publishing houses. The academic lyceum holds regular interviews with young people on crime prevention in cooperation with the City Department of Internal Affairs, the Prosecutor’s Office and community activists. The academic lyceum has 2 gyms equipped with enough sports equipment for students to be physically fit and healthy. Volleyball, basketball, chess, chess, and athletics clubs are organized for students to spend their free time meaningfully. The academic lyceum has a dormitory for 200 students. •
