In order to train highly qualified personnel in the field of health care, sanitary and epidemiological well-being and public health, the Fergana Institute of Public Health was organized on December 3, 2020. Akmal Abdikakhkharovich Sidikov was appointed rector of the institute in accordance with the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan.
Akmal Sidikov was born in 1987. He is a Doctor of Medical Science. He graduated from St. Petersburg State Pediatric Medical University , Member of the Academy of European Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) as well as the European Society for Dermatological Research (ESDR).
In addition, the young scientist is the author and co-author of more than 80 scientific works and is also considered the author of 6 inventions in the field of dermatovenerology, 5 teaching aids, one federal clinical recommendation, 3 monographs and 4 teaching aids.
Akmal Sidikov worked as the head of the department of the Tashkent State Dental Institute, the head of the department for the development of science of Ministry of health and the chief dermatovenerologist of the city of Tashkent.
Akmal Siddikov, prior to his appointment as the rector of the institute, held the position of head of the department for the ordering of medicines and medical equipment and the coordination of humanitarian aid under Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
