According to the information of the country’s tourism ministry, Israeli scientists have conducted a study on a new test for coronavirus, the accuracy of which is more than 96 percent, which is even more than the classic PCR.
The analysis was taken from 250 people, the cost of the test itself is no more than one shekel (22 rubles).
A sample of human saliva is required for the test. After rinsing the mouth with saline, it is analyzed in a test tube with a light emitting device that will detect if a person is infected with COVID-19. This device is capable of detecting other viruses as well.
In addition, Israeli medicine presented the technology for detecting COVID-19 in 30-40 seconds. And also an application that allows to get a result within 20 minutes at home, without having any special equipment nearby.
“The Ministry of Health in the coming days will announce a tender for the equipment of Ben Gurion Airport with laboratories for detecting COVID-19,” says Vladimir Shklyar, director of the department of the Israeli Ministry of Tourism in the Russian Federation and the CIS. “And this means that the latest developments of Israeli scientists may soon allow the people to return to their previous life style, travel again and not be afraid for their safety and health.”
