The book week on the topic “Book is a lifesaver from loneliness, a book is a ray of knowledge”, organized by the Information Resource Center, has started. For the information of readers, by 2022, the book fund amounted to 213,107 pieces of literature in 27,391 titles. Among them, 73224 textbooks in 528 titles, 38944 teaching aids in 799 titles, 51015 scientific literature in 16043 titles, 22581 fiction in 3087 titles, 13588 political literature in 5424 titles, 13755 other literature in 2410 titles. In addition, 4590 new literature in 384 titles were purchased.
Before the event, a fair of new scientific and fiction literature was held. The event was opened by acting pro-rector on Spiritual and Educational Work and Youth Affairs of ASMI S. Salokhiddinov. He spoke about the attention paid to the issues of providing students with an electronic medical book and literature of international importance. The head of the CIR, M. Ahmedova, familiarized the participants with the activities of the employees. The editor of the newspaper “Andijonnoma”, a member of the society of writers of Uzbekistan F. Mirzaolimova shared her thoughts on the work of the founder of Uzbek romanticism “Utkan kunlar ” A. Kodiriy. There was a presentation of the book of the head of the 1st department of General practitioners ,professor Z. Salokhiddinov “Saodat manzili”, which talks about the role of the family in society, ancient customs, relations between parents and children, husband and wife, and raising a child. Gifted students sang poems about the book, sang songs and performed dances.
