DUTIES AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT

 

  • Ensuring the quality of preparation of regulatory documents related to the educational process and their full implementation in the educational process;
  • Quality organization of the educational process, methodological support and improvement of educational work;
  • Implementation of educational work at the Institute on the basis of curricula and programs;
  • Schedule of educational process for academic years, drawing up timetables;
  • Introduction into the educational process of a rating system for the assessment and control of students’ knowledge, effective methods of testing and other methods of improving the quality of the educational process;
  • Ensuring and controlling the proper use of department rooms, auditorium funds and lecture halls on the territory of the Institute;
  • To draw conclusions on the mastering of students, to analyze the results of the current mastering and Final State Attestation and on their basis to prepare a report to the Academic Council of the institute;
  • Preparation of information and resolutions on the educational work of the Academic Council of the Institute, meetings of the rectorate, the central methodical board;
  • Orders, decisions, instructions, guidelines and recommendations of higher organizations on the organization and conduct of the educational process, as well as decisions of the Academic and Rectoral Council, orders, directives and current instructions of the Rector and Vice-Rector and delivery to other departments of the institute and control over its implementation;
  • Participate in the preparation of proposals for the development of the educational process and its material and technical base;
  • Urgent orders: control over the provision of relevant departments and departments with the journal of professors and teachers, the journal of lectures, personal work plan of teachers, rating books, student IDs and forms;
  • Organization of periodic seminars, consultations with officials of the department and faculties on the introduction of modern information and computer and new pedagogical technologies in the educational process;
  • Determining the contingent of students;
  • Control over the preparation of deans’ office work and departments for the new academic year

 

EDUCATIONAL METHODOLOGICAL DEPARTMENT

 

In the year of the institute’s founding, 48 departments were opened within the faculty of Therapy. Professor K.A.Zufarov was appointed dean of the faculty of Therapy and 239 students were admitted to the faculty.

The Faculty of Pediatrics was established on November 15, 1966 at Andijan State Medical Institute by the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan No 476-SH. M.S.Soatov was appointed the first dean of the faculty. In 1972, in connection with the opening of the Central Asian Pediatric Institute, the Faculty of Pediatrics was closed at Andijan State Medical Institute. Students studying at the Faculty of Pediatrics were transferred to the Central Asian Institute of Medical Pediatrics (SAIMP), the current TashPMI.

In 1976, due to the increase in the material and technical base of the institute, the need to train highly qualified pediatricians for the Fergana Valley,opening of the clinic of Andijan State Medical Institute, on the initiative of the rector of the institute Yu.O. Otabekov according to the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 01/701, the Faculty of Pediatrics was reorganized within the Andijan State Medical Institute and 12 additional departments were opened.

In 1999, the Faculty of Higher Nursing was opened, and Professor Sh.K. Kadirov was appointed Dean of the Faculty.

In 2001, the Department of Professional Education (medical treatment) was opened at the Faculty of Therapy, and Associate Professor T. Saydullaev was appointed in charge of this area.

In 2001, a Master’s department was opened at the institute, where Professor K.T.Khudoyberdiev was appointed head of the department.

Since the establishment of the institute, special attention has been paid to the selection of talented students. In all departments, professors, associate professors conducted additional classes with gifted students according to the plan. As a result of the organization of additional classes on information technology, foreign languages and specialties at the departments, depending on the aspirations, abilities and desires of students, today most of the professors and teachers of the departments are graduates of the institute.

The institute has advanced advanced fundamental and scientific-practical research in the training of highly qualified medical staff. Scientific and practical achievements in the social sciences and humanities, medical-biological and clinical sciences, including infectious diseases, maternal and child health, modern innovations introduced by UNICEF, UNO, the basics of evidence-based medicine and results of the research are presented to students in various forms, in the form of scientific seminars, additional lectures and educational-laboratory classes, as materials for scientific-practical conferences.

Especially during the years of independence, a lot of work has been done to further improve the educational process.

The Central Methodical Board and the Methodological Boards of Central Sciences take an active part in the organization of educational and methodical work at the Institute. The Central Methodological Board is chaired by the Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

 

The institute has a commission to review problems in the following disciplines:

The Central Methodological Board reviews textbooks, monographs, textbooks and submits them to the Academic Council of the Institute, discusses the educational process in the bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

From 1955 to 1921, the institute published 45 textbooks by professors and teachers. 345 educational manuals, 6,025 teaching aids, 124 methodical recommendations, 1,023 rational proposals were created.

The number of students admitted to Andijan State Medical Institute from 1955 to 2016 was 32051. From them: 20408 students in the field of Therapy (medical treatment), 9324 students in the field of Pediatrics, 568 students in the field of Higher Nursing , 434 students in the field of Professional education, and 1317 students in the Master’s degree program.

In recent years, the Institute pays special attention to the study of information and communication technologies and foreign languages, as well as innovative educational technologies to train competitive medical professionals by improving the quality and efficiency of the educational process.

The following work done according to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated April 20, 2017 No PP-2909 “On measures to further develop the system of higher education “:

  • 2 electronic boards in 2 auditoriums of the main educational building and 1 multisensor display in the department of human anatomy are installed.
  • In the department of Bioorganic and Biological Chemistry 4 rooms were allocated for educational laboratories in medical chemistry, 4 rooms for educational laboratories in biological chemistry, 2 laboratory passports were prepared and submitted. Necessary laboratory equipment and reagents for training laboratory rooms have been ordered. In the academic year 2017-2018, chemical reagents worth 1,672,200 soums were purchased for the newly opened pharmacy . 3 pipe cabinets from Samarkand “KHIMREAKTIVINVEST” company and 2 distillers (25 l and 15 l) were brought.

According to the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated May 5, 2017 No PP-2956 “On measures to further reform the system of medical education in the Republic of Uzbekistan” the following work was carried out:

  • The period of study at the institute in the field of medicine, pediatrics, Professional education (medical treatment) was changed from 7 to 6 years. Curriculum and science programs for graduate courses have been revised and improved;
  • Working science programs are developed on the basis of qualification requirements and standard science programs approved by the order No.474 of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education dated August 22, 2017 for the first-year students of the faculties of Therapy, Pediatrics, Professional education (medical treatment), Dentistry, Preventive medicine, Pharmacy.
  • Modern innovative educational technologies have been introduced into the educational process at the institute, the share of special subjects in the curriculum and programs increased to 60-65 %, in order to thoroughly master the practical skills during the training process, 50% of the theoretical and 50% of the practical parts are performed in clinical sciences, simulation rooms have been set up for students to acquire practical skills: problem-oriented lectures, clinical situations in diagnosis and treatment, and all the conditions for conducting OSKE in simulators and volunteers.

The work done on the implementation of the Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated July 27, 2017 No PP-3151 “On measures to further expand the participation of economic sectors and industries in improving the quality of training of specialists with higher education”:

  • In all courses of all directions of education in 2 groups the teaching of special subjects in English was gradually organized.
  • With the involvement of teachers of foreign language departments at the institute organized training courses for professors on teaching relevant specialties in a foreign language in extracurricular activities.
  • Classes in all areas of education are organized using the textbooks created by professors and teachers of prestigious universities of developed countries.
  • Once a week on Tuesdays (40 minutes in the 2nd pair of the schedule in the form of “Information Hour”, 40 minutes in the form of “Coaching Hour”) in all groups “Information and Coaching Hour” classes are held at a high level.

 

Resolution of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. PP-3071 “As a result of the implementation of state programs of health care, a fundamentally new system of high-tech specialized medical care has been established. Specialized medical centers in the country, including highly qualified doctors with modern equipment in the field of surgery, cardiology, eye microsurgery, urology, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, endocrinology, therapy and medical rehabilitation, dermatology and venereology, phthisiology and pulmonology are functioning. Chapter IV of the program of further development measures on “Improvement of the system of training, retraining and advanced training of medical personnel” and “Establishment of training and simulation laboratories on the basis of the Tashkent Medical Academy, Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute, Samarkand Medical Institute and Andijan State Medical Institute.”

In order to further improve the quality of the educational process in Andijan State Medical Institute from September 2018-2019 academic year, to create conditions for continuous improvement of skills and professionalism of medical staff, “TRAINING-SIMULATION LABORATORY” was established in Andijan State Medical Institute.

The “Training and Simulation Laboratory” center is located in the main building of the institute.

In the process of organizing the activities of the “Charter of the training and simulation laboratory” was developed and these Regulations set out job descriptions for all employees.

The classrooms are equipped with modern medical equipment, training equipment, phantoms, simulators and simulators. 92 methodological recommendations have been created for the implementation of the zones.

Today, the Training and Simulation Laboratory Center has simulated laboratory auditoriums in the following areas:
