The opening ceremony of the new 400-bed residence for students of Andijan State Medical Institute was held. This student hostel, which has a modern appearance and all kinds of amenities, was built on the basis of public-private partnership.
The khokim of the region Sh. Abdurakhmonov also participated in the opening ceremony and after the solemn ceremony, he got acquainted with the internal conditions of the building and talked with the students.
This building consists of 5 floors, in its lower part there is a possibility to cook sweets and a cozy sewing shop. This gives students the opportunity to learn a trade and earn income after studies.
About 10,000 students study at the institute, and 1,800 of them need a dormitory. Until now, 1 thousand 64 students were accommodated in existing dormitories. Now “Students House” will accommodate 400 students.
