Early in the morning, the Park of Culture and Leisure named after Alisher Navoi in our city took on a special festive look. It was attended by representatives of the general public, poets and writers, as well as professors, teachers and more than 100 students of our institute, led by the rector of the institute M. Madazimov.
At the beginning of the event in the park, together with representatives of state and public organizations, our rector and students laid wreaths at the monument to Alisher Navoi and honored the memory.
Speaking at the event, the khokim of Andijan region Shuhratbek Abdurahmanov and members of the general public stressed the importance of preserving the rich spiritual heritage of our great ancestor and the necessity of studying it diligently. The chairman of the regional branch of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan Hurshidabonu spoke about the life and work of the great poet.
The peculiarity of this event, dedicated to the 580th anniversary of the great poet, is that our compatriots, especially young people, pay tribute to the life and work of the eternal thinker, respect and reverence for our greatly respected ancestor in their artistic performances, ghazals and songs.
