The Republican Commission on Enhancing the Role of Women in Society, Gender Equality and Family Issues, the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Women and Gender Equality, the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan on Family and Women and the State Trust Fund for Family Support and women who are citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan aged 35 years and older, as well as women who they have been continuously engaged in activities for at least 5 years, and also announce the national competition “Woman of the Year” among housewives.
The purpose of the contest is to support, encourage, reward and popularize the best practices of women in various fields who make a worthy contribution to the socio-economic development of our country, have high spirituality, take an active part in raising the authority of the organization in which she works, while at the same time being an example in the family and raising children.
The competition is held in three stages:
The first stage is the district (city) stage;
The second stage is the territorial stage (Republic of Karakalpakstan, regions and cities of Tashkent);
The third stage is the republican stage.
At all stages, participants are evaluated on the following conditions:
The first condition is to “present yourself.” In this case, the participant must tell about their activities, family, place in society, activity on the territory within 3 minutes, as well as present a presentation.
The second condition is “answers to questions”. In this condition, participants will be asked 2 questions and given 2 minutes to answer the questions. Questions about the large-scale reforms carried out in our country aimed at further supporting the family, women, strengthening their place in the state and society.
The third condition is to prepare a video on the topic “Modern Uzbek woman”. Participants will present a 3-minute demonstration of a video about their activities.
Based on the three conditions established at the republican stage of the competition, the winners in the nominations will be determined: the highest place, 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, depending on the points scored by the participants.
