On April 26, 2019 an event dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the People’s Poet of Uzbekistan Muhammad Yusuf was held in Andijan. The event dedicated to the memory of our compatriot poet was organized at the school named after Muhammad Yusuf in Andijan. Early in the morning the monument of the poet was surrounded by hundreds of citizens who loved him and his creation.
Flowers and wreaths were put at the feet of the monument as a sign of respect and reverence for the poet. In honor of the poet’s birthday, famous poets and writers from the capital, as well as literary and artistic figures from Kyrgyzstan, visited this square.
The event was opened by the khakim of the region Sh.Abdurakhmonov and expressed his sincere condolences on the immortal memory of the national poet of Uzbekistan Muhammad Yusuf, the living creatures of motherland and love.
The head of Andijan regional branch of the Writers’ Union of Uzbekistan, poet Kh. Kuchkarova also expressed sincere opinion about the poet and his creation.
The memorial event was attended by rector of Andijan State Medical Institute M.Madazimov and students of the institute.
